summer at hafod las
1/1
Summer brings wildflowers in abundance to Hafod Las and butterflies and bees too.
The nearby Minera Quarry nature reserve is a haven for orchids and many other species of flowers and plants. The many baby birds start to fledge and you maybe lucky enough to see baby tawny owls which spend their time in the mature ash and sycamores that surround the Hut.
When the sunshine arrives our animals certainly make the most of it and can often be found relaxing in the sun.
Most summers we take our sheep for days out at local country shows, we know our sheep well enough to know which ones are the biggest show offs and enjoy all the attention they get!
